Do you take insurance?
Here’s Why We Chose Not To—And Why It Benefits You
It’s one of the most common questions we get:
“Do you take insurance?”
The short answer is no—and that’s a conscious decision we made to provide the level of care we believe people truly deserve.
Why we chose to stay out-of-network
We understand that using your insurance seems like the default option in healthcare. But the truth is, insurance companies don’t always have your long-term health in mind—they have a set of codes and a reimbursement structure that prioritizes short-term symptom relief and volume over quality.
Insurance dictates what they’re willing to reimburse based on your diagnosis—not your goals.
Want to hike again without knee pain? Get back to skiing after a surgery? Play catch with your kids after work?
Most of those goals aren’t recognized—or reimbursed—by insurance because they fall outside the narrow definition of “medical necessity.”
Rather than letting an insurance company decide how often you can be seen, what kind of care you need, or when your rehab is “done,” we chose a different path—one that puts you and your goals at the center.
What out-of-network care means for you
By opting out of insurance contracts, we’re able to:
Spend 60+ minutes 1-on-1 with you each session
Create fully customized rehab and training plans
Progress you beyond pain relief toward real strength and confidence
Reduce your total visits—most clients come 1x/week or every other week
In fact, clients often see better outcomes in fewer visits because we aren't constrained by high-volume models or one-size-fits-all protocols.
A broken model we didn’t want to be part of
Reimbursement rates for physical therapy have declined steadily over the years across all insurance providers. That’s why many traditional clinics:
See patients for only 30–45 minutes
Stack clients in overlapping appointments
Rely on aides or techs instead of licensed providers
Deliver generic exercise sheets and minimal hands-on care
It’s not the therapist’s fault—it’s the system. But it’s not a system we’re willing to be part of.
When you come to us, you’ll get more than just a few banded exercises and instructions to avoid the things you love. You’ll get a plan that respects your time, your goals, and your potential.
You deserve better than “just good enough”
Choosing an out-of-network clinic may feel like a bigger decision upfront, but it often leads to faster results, fewer visits, and better long-term outcomes. You don’t just want to feel “okay”—you want to feel capable, confident, and strong.
We’re here to help you get there.
